Polyurethane foams are versatile materials that can be used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications. Researchers at FAU developed a water-activated polyurethane foam for rigid and flexible structures in marine applications. This technology allows for the construction of polyurethane components in “on-demand” applications. Thus, it can be deployed underwater for the controlled construction of a structure.
