Vortical Irrigator for Treatment of Bladder Cancer

Description:

This technology is a novel medical device utilized for the treatment of bladder cancer. The device creates a whirlpool effect within the bladder to concentrate free-floating tumor cells into a single location. The now concentrated tumor cells can be removed from the bladder through an integrated drainage tube in the device. It is anticipated that the technology will become a minimally-invasive device capable of reducing the incidence of tumor recurrence without the use of chemotherapies.
